Lawcast 191:  Felicity Gerry on women in the law, practice at the Bar and a view on sentencing

Today I am talking to Felicity Gerry, a practising barrister at 36 Bedford Row, about women in the law, practice at the Bar and, given Felicity’s expertise, we will take a look at the role of the Sentencing Council and her thoughts on the sentences being meted out to the rioters and looters by the courts.

  3. My main observation about this podcast is the fact that few people have infact commented. I imagine though that if you follow a profession that involves going to work for an argument then no one will be interested about your child care arrangements and the hoops you have to jump through to have those arguments.
The fact Ms Gerry does not get her fare share of high paying cases is because the law is a boys club, developed for boys by boys but hopefully Ms Gerry and other women like her will change this.
