Podcast 47: Julie Brannan, OXILP on the LPC

Today I am talking to the director of the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice, Julie Brannan. Julie practised law at Herbert Smith, where she was a litigation partner, before going on to OXILP. The Oxford Institute of Legal Practice, a joint venture between Oxford University and Oxford Brookes is one of the leading providers for the LPC, one of five providers for the Qualified Lawyers Transfer test and has built up a good reputation for the quality of provision.

  1. I haven’t had a chance to listen to this one yet, but am looking forward to it as I used to lecture there. Seems odd that they are relocating as one of the striking features (or was it making a virtue out of necessity?) of the place was that they had premises rather like what students could expect to find themselves working in – City centre location, new build modern office block. Maybe the move reflects the trend for law offices to move to out-of-town locations (as eg Morgan Cole and Manches have done in Oxford).
